What is bimonthly meter reading?
- Under the bimonthly meter reading system, water meters are read once every two months for customers using less than 100㎥ per month.
- The purpose of the bimonthly meter reading and notice system is to improve waterworks management by reducing the cost of meter reading and minimize the inconvenience of citizens by reducing the number of meter reading visits.
Meter reading information
- The meter reader of each local office will visit each customer on the specified meter reading day on a monthly or bimonthly basis.
Notice information
- The meter reader of each local office will visit and deliver a notice to each customer on a monthly or bimonthly basis.
- Type of notice
- Bill: monthly or bimonthly bill (payment summary will be provided to customers who apply for automatic transfer) and/or bill for unpaid fees
- Other notices (where applicable): information on auxiliary meters and recipient statement
- Email bill: For customers who apply for automatic transfer and email notice, an email notice will be sent on the 14th day of every month instead of a payment summary (KRW 200 discount per bill).
- Text service for fees: A text message outlining the usage amount and fees owing is sent to customers who applied for the service on the 14th day of every month.
